My Services

My Cat Care services involve much more than just refreshing the cat bins and refreshing the food. I am trained in observing cat behavior. The behavior of the cat, for example, shows whether the cat is or is not at ease, if something is missing or perhaps he or she does not feel well and I am  usually able to improve the situation by some simple interventions.

Based on the behavior and the situation, I will make some recommendations. In addition, I can administer medicines. I am specialized in cats with diabetes. I know from my own experience how awkward it can be if you plan a weekend out or a short holiday while your cat needs insulin on a regular basis.

And of course I give the cats all the attention they need and send you some nice pictures.

Procedure

First I will make an appointment to get acquainted, not only with you but with the cats too, of course. During this preliminary  meeting we will discuss what you and your cats need and what I have to offer.

We will also discuss the fee (see Tarifs). When there is an agreement you will handover a set of keys,

During our standard cat care visit I will clean the litter boxes, check the food and water and pay attention to the cats, depending on their needs: play with them, cuddle them and take the time to observe their behavior. If you like I take pictures to send to you so you can keep in touch.
I use a checklist for observing the cats and contact you immediately when I notice something out of the ordinary to discuss what to do.

If your cats or your situation requires extra needs we will discuss them during our preliminary meeting. For example when I have to administer medicine,  take care of extra grooming, treatment of tangles or skin problems, etc. I will inform you beforehand of the extra costs involved.
When extra cleaning activities are needed because of “accidents” or illness I will inform you of the extra costs.

I am well experienced in administering insulin by cats with diabetics, both with the Vetpen as well as with a syringe. I guarantee to administer the medicine on the frequency that is needed. If needed I can check the glucose level in the blood.

It is possible that during your absence it suddenly becomes necessary to take your cat to the vet. I will take care of that as well, both for a consult as for a treatment.

Of course you have enough food, cat grit and any medicines in the house but if you have forgotten something I can purchase that for you.

At the end of the preliminary appointment you have a clear overview of the costs I will charge for my services and the possible extra charges.

Together with the billing you will receive an extract from the observation forms I filled in during my visits and I will supply some additional recommendations.
